For those who don't know, what is your name and what do you do?
Mahmood Tijani (AKA Mamzi & SKA Izz). I work for KBR - Piping Engineering Department and I am a candidate for an MBA degree at HBU.
Tell us about your family.
We are typical Lagosians. I'm the first of three children; we were raised with Islamic faith and live a moderate life. I live with my brother, my parents are in Nigeria, and my sister is in England. We enjoy traveling and spending time with one another when we get the chance.
When growing up where did you think you would be at this time in your life?
At first I wanted to be an entertainer like MJ. As I grew wiser, I decided to focus on being an engineer that travels the world. I've always wanted to be successful and give back to where I came from.
What do you think SSFC needs as a team?
I honestly think we need a coach. Someone that's not bias and has total control and understanding of the team. However, the team captain (James) has been doing an exceptional job. Considering SSFC's recent performance, where do you think the team will finish at the end of the season?
Our time is now. We are going to finish on top of the league if we keep up our dedication and play football with ball and not our mouth (absolutely no homo!!!).
You got your first goal of the season yesterday against BC Eclipse. How does it feel to finally get the monkey off your back and score after almost two seasons?
Man...that's the best confidence booster I could have gotten. To score such a classy goal as result of great build up that involved almost every player on the team shows the type of quality that we have as a unit. This is a sign of better things to come if we keep playing as a collective unit.
If you could name one person who had an impact in your life, who would it be and why would you pick that person?
It has to be my father. He taught me all that I know today. The fundamentals of hard work, patience, kindness to people, and faith in God the Almighty. The guy is super cool.

Arsenal. No favorite player right now. I just enjoy entertaining soccer.
What would you like to be doing in ten years?
I want to be running a lucrative business with potential for growth. I plan to be married with at least 3 children.

If you were President of Nigeria what would be your first measure to improve the country?
I will ensure that EVERY Nigerian has the basic amenities. Water, power, education and access to health care. |
